Hi Amar,

Any idea which one?  There are a few around that price and none seem t= o
mention it.
Needs to be a hardware modem, not a win modem.  Needs to run under *ni= x

I only want Caller ID presentation.
How sad is this:
There is a hack to allow your TiVo to display caller ID info.
It involves having a PC on the network somewhere which detects the
caller id info and broadcasts it to any Caller ID clients (You load such a client onto your TiVo).

Now in order for this to work, I need a modem which supports caller ID
AND I need to run *nix (cough splutter!) on the pc.
So this is where the sadness comes into it - I am going to buy a modem
purely for caller id info and build a pc running *nix purely so I can
get this info on my TV.
I am a windoze man, not a penguin freak, but am being forced down this
route to get this geeky feature working.
What's even worse is that the base station for my DECT phone, which
usually contains said phone is _right next to me_ when I'm watching TV.
It supports Caller ID.
All I have to do is glance to my right to see who is calling.
But no, I want it on my TV!!!!!!

Tony
