Just as test and I needed to look at it as well anyway, I tried tipping
the bucket, perched dangerously off a set of ladders, and I can confirm
that the rainfall is recorded in real time as far as I can see. Both the
station display unit and Free WX reported the change and recorded the
amount instantly. However the rainfall rate shows as being 2.64in per
hour with a total rainfall of 0.16in and the graph hasn't dropped back
to zero yet, over an hour later. :/

God knows what it's playing at, I'll see what happens over the next
couple of weeks or so.
