Well... yes and no. You wouldn't actually do it as samples. You'd feed them into a mixer 180 degrees out of phase, and balanced by hand :-)

That's how I'd do it, anyway...

Remember that as well as front speakers, rear speakers need to be taken
into account (OK, you might not have any in your living room just now,
but you might soon......!) - in that case you'd have to take a sample
>from them to use as cancellation...... sounds expensive!
