RE: Streaming Video Over A LAN

Title: RE: [ukha_d] Streaming Video Over A LAN
Its not streaming, its directly accessing the file via a share.

This means the server has very little work to do and the files can actually be stored on multiple machines. The database stores a reference to the file and just tells Media Player where to find it.

mmm... interesting, what are you using for the actual streaming, is it windows media encoder linked to IIS or do you have some other way, or is really simple in that you just provide a link to the file and let the network/media player do the rest. Like most things I'm finding that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing and am still finding my way!
