RE: Re: PC audio through hi-fi

LD input is fine.

(Just to decode the terms)

Phono - Gramaphone :-)
MC - Moving coil, a common sort of record deck pickup
MM - Moving Magnet, the other common sort of record deck pickup, with slightly different electrical characteristics to MC
CD - Compact Disk
DVD - Digital Versatile Disk (formerly Digital Video Disk)
MD - Minidisk

As for the wiring, I don't think it matters, providing all the channels are wired the same. Everything wanders either side of a floating ground anyway, and I can't tell the difference between +ve and -ve phase, nor could either of the BBC recording engineers I've worked with :-)

Regards,

Mark

you can use anything marked "tape", "CD", "DVD", "MD" or pretty much
anything else, with the headphone out....

Thanks Mark, saved me from a potentially costly mistake! If I recall
(without pulling the amp out of the cabinet) I have a LD (laserdisk)
input so I guess that's OK.

Can you just confirm the wiring convention though, is the pin on the
phono _plug_ +ve and the outer -ve?
