RE: SliMP3 Bulk Buy

There's a small but, I feel important, issue as mentioned by Kevin:
"there are obvious _quality_ issues"

Not to mention "you can't then manage playlists correctly"

And my psion doesn't like winxp
and I don't have meteor

(methinks I have successfully traversed the murky forest.  There are nolonger any pale bulbous eyes staring at me.  I'm safe!)

WinAMP will transcode WMA content to SliMP3 in realtime - I have that working but it's not a neat solution in that you can't then manage playlists correctly through SliMP3 and there are obvious quality issues in encoding twice. I can't get the Real Audio transcode to work though.

I do have my Psion Wavefinder well integrated with the Slimp3 with on screen station selection and streaming radio text (beta release). Also Shoutcast/Icecast sources work really well if you run a local server for 'any' audio source.

and - I now have the SliMP3 working as a caller display device with Meteor

... just looking at the IR receive now....

Ken you Bar steward :-)  That was the final straw.  I went for a quick
shuftie to their website again before I said 'Oh alright then' and noticed
that lucikly (for my walet), it doesn't support WMA files!  Even _I_ can't
justify to myself buying something that is totally useless as my collection
is all in WMA format.
