Re: ot Mobo ASUS

Amar,

Is the vga card the only card in the system?

I've had a dodgy machine I repaired for someone that had funny bios issues.

What I would do...

1. Strip machine of all cards.
2. Remove external power.
3. Reset cmos bios, usually done by moving a jumper for 5 seconds and moving
it back.
4. Plug in mouse and keyboard.
5. Plug in vga card. Most machines.
6. Check HD connection if you have any. Most new machines don't mind not
seeing that at boot.
8. Check memory is firmly seated. This has been the biggest problem I've
come across lately. DDR is a tight fit at least on the motherboards I've
tried mostly Abit.
