RE: RF interference

Hi Tony,

Start with the attenuator on the output of the last device before the
distribution amp and work backwards. If you have an OnDodgy box it should be
the FIRST thing in the chain to ensure the best quality digital signals
reach it.

Regarding the websites....
I tried both the main ones when you mentioned it and they both worked. Both
are redirected to the same BTInternet website. The TabooTV site is on a free
ASP hosting service in the states and is sometimes really flakey.

I think there may be some DNS problems somewhere as I have been getting
loads of failures on all kinds of sites over the last 2 days :-(

Hi Keith,

I was hoping you'd spot my thread :-)

That's what I was talking about - I suspect this is the problem, but I don't
know
a) what attenuator to get (I think I have a 6dB one lying around somewhere)
and b) where to put it in the circuit:
- On the Aerial in to the first device?
- Mid way down the chain?
- Just before the Tivo input?
- Just before the it goes into the TV?
- Or indeed should I have one on the input to each device?

I tried that last nite and kat5.tv was dead.
Today, kat5.tv is alive, but taboo tv is dead :(

Oh, should have read all your email b4 replying.  Ignore my q's above unless
you have an idea where the best place is to place the attenuator/ multiple
attenuators....

Doesn't everything :-[

cheers,
