I wouldn't suggest using the adhesive minitrunking in your case, as it woul= d
like fairly unsightly.. the sort of thing no-one cares about in an office,<= BR> but not good in the home.

AIUI, with brick partition walls, you still have either wooden battens abou= t
1/2 inch thick and gyproc fixed to it (in which case, you still have an
"airgap" to run CAT5 through), or you will have plaster finished = walls,
which should be again about half an inch thick, which can be chased out to<= BR> lay cables in.

A (more elegant, but more expensive) solution may be to replace your
skirting board with a conduit version. CEF sell a range of conduit skirting=
board which can nicely contain your data cables..

James Hoye seems to be "the man" for advice on chasing out etc.. = My own
experience is 100% surface mount /stud wall

Hi=85

Ok =96 I=92m going to start the slow process of re-decorating my house
(mid-terace brick built)

I want to lay a quantity of cable around my house =96 to a small cupboard i= n
the storeroom/soon to be office /box room=85

However, the partition walls in my house are brick.. not the conventional stud (they are all supporting walls)

I want to lay 8 cat 5=92s in the front room.
4x in the dining room / dining kitchen
4 in the master bed room
4 in the spare room
and back to node 0 =96 the box room.

I also want to lay some more power cables + some speaker jack-points on the=
walls.

How do I go about laying the cable? =96 I presume I don=92t just lay the ca= ble
on the wall and then plaster over it?

Is there a trunking product or conduit available for me to adhere to the wall, to drop my cables down?

Any help really appreciated

Regards,

Jonathan.
