RE: IR distribution

Ok, on this subject...

I have a Niles IR system to allow my 2 rooms to receive
IR and transmit it all to my AV storage room (large walk
in cupboard). The HomeVision unit is in this room. What
I want to do now is to route IR Tx units back into the original
2 rooms to cover the IR sensors on the TV and projector
(only things in the rooms). So that when I press a button
on the remote in the room it sends a signal to HV (not
the TV) and HV then sends the signal to the TV.

Having not played with IR on the HV yet, and to save me
time and money, what IR emitters should I connect to the
HV? Is it just a 2 way IR Tx unit, which I would extend?

TBH, you need only one receiver per room you want to control stuff from. I only have three rooms that receive IR and you can use HV as an IR
receiver in a pinch, I don't. HV can also transmit directly to the
Xantech block to TX IR.
