Not sure if this will work without an Exchange server, but...
... in the message window, go to the View Menu and select "From"
That will give you a field into which you can type the From
address.
As I said, no idea whether this works for a POP/SMTP configured
Outlook
rather than a MAPI one :-(

which case I have to log in with a different password and dial up
again. What I would like to be able to do is to choose what my alias
is when I send an email. I am using Outlook 2000 and XP
