Title: Message
I don't think Philips have anything to worry about myself ... a small bunch of tech-heads using loads of bolt together kit to emulate their product which is still selling as many as they can produce is hardly a threat.

Remember *MOST* Pronto buyers are the kind of people who have either outgrown 1 For All 8-in1's or want something a bit more high tech - the number of people that would head down that route must to Philips be insignificant!

If I were Phillips, I'd be worried...

Tonto for editing.
RemoteCentral for CCF downloads.
iPaq + RF + CCF player.

... who needs a Pronto?

You may already be aware of this, or not...

But a lovely chap called stewart has created Tonto (hohoho!), a Pronto
editor based on Java so those of us with better taste in OS'es can play with
our remotes.

Is the page. He seems to be a pretty busy guy with his versions, and
obviously more open to requests than philips would be, so maybe even the
windows flavour will get some use.

Vive la revolution!

Jerome
