RE: Dallas temp sensors
Paul,
If the documentation shows the value of the goods to be less than 18
quid, regardless of shipping then there is no duty to be paid. This is
how companies like DVD Box Office in Canada can be competitive on
single
discs shipped to the UK.
I have a standing arrangement with an airbrush supplier in California
(even paint is so much cheaper from over there, and the shipping weight
is extreme!) that whatever I order is worth $25 according to the green
sticker :)

Thanks, I'll check them out too.
I'm not especially anti purchasing from abroad, but I can really do
without
loads of hassle with Customs, VAT, import Duty, and all that B***ocks
doubling the price from $30-odd to nearer $60-odd!!
Also, I'd prefer something that I can just hook the sensors to, and
away
it
goes, - none of this calibration lark and fannying around with a
thermometer, a multimeter, and working out equations just to get a
decent
temperature reading!
