RE: Rack case blueprints / design schematics
Ahh, I see.
Andy Powell and I exchanged emails on a similar topic about a month ago
(on
list) so you may wish to look in the archives for some more background,
subject line was "19" Rack Advice".
A key feature of the larger / more expensive cabinets is the rack
strips
(the verticals) can move laterally and front to back within the unit.
There
are some pics on the RS components site (http://rswww.com then
"Electrical", then "Enclosures - 19in Equipment and
Racking"). Also in the
CPC catalogue.
My rack won't offer lateral adjustment of the strips, just some limited
front to back movement.
See also http://homepage.ntlworld.com/gadgetjunkie/stuff.htm
for pics of
some other cabinets. Justin may still have some cabs available.
Along with the pics I'll also try to take some measurements of my unit
if
you're interested (approx 1200mm tall).
Cheers,
Tim.

I was thinking more of the former, the actual enclosures. I was sort
of wondering what design features are in these things, hence the
mention of blueprints. Would be nice to see some designs and get some
good dimensions. That was my thinking anyway.
