Kieran,

I think Don is 'the man'
I had been using TivoApp, but following Don's post (see below) I tried
TyTools and have to say it is much better as it is considerably less
demanding on the Tivo.

Justin.

I’m in the process of putting together a crib sheet detailing mainly
the
extraction process but I’ll include these other two utilities as
well. To
crack on regardless, these are the relevant URLs:

TivoWeb: http://tivo.lightn.org/

NB I see a new beta has just been released, I’m still on 1.9.3 but
the beta
includes support for undeleting recordings !

TyTools4:
http://www.dealdatabase.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8092&pagenumber
=2

Look at the second post.

Merge.tcl:
http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58576&perpag
e=20&highlight=BATCH%20SAVE&pagenumber=3

Look at the 4th post. Note: I had some problems with this which meant I had
to hex edit the /tvbin/tivoapp file as discussed in the thread.
You’ll need
to review the thread thoroughly to get an idea what is required.

Once I’ve got some noddy instructions together I’ll post them
somewhere and
probably stick the files in the yahoogroups files area.

Cheers

Don
