Yep. Just used an AC 230v relat (DPDT) and plugged it into an
AM10. Thats
it!

Did you get around having to use a Lamp along with the module Stuart?
I'm getting more hacked off with cunning macro's (tm) by the day..
Ian.

Don't worry Tim, the first time I read this I was more than a bit
confused.
To disable the dusk/dawn feature, just unplug the sensor.
Like I said, I use an appliance module, and it works well. I WILL do
a
write up one day, I promise!

I've now looked at the document and am none-the-wiser.
Perhaps I am having a particularly thick day. Although I'm not going to
do
it this way, how could I use say an X10 appliance module to achieve
discreet
control, and can I turn off the built-in dusk to dawn feature?
Tim.

Li,
I get a "file not found" error on that page. How do these systems
cope with
heavy curtains over a long run?
Tim.

Assuming we are referring to the K400 motor and control unit, there is
no
need to cut the switch. The switch is connected to the motor body via
an
RJ11 type plug (4P4C). Simply unplug the toggle switch and plug in your
own wiring for discrete on, off and toggle control. The K400 technical
note is available for download from our website at URL
http://www.laser.com/files/k400tr.pdf.
The product is now known as the Silent Gliss Autoglide Dawn & Dusk
System
5070. The motor is the same but the plastic track has been replaced by
aluminum one. Unfortunately, it is still straight runs only.
