thanks for this suggestion.  I've had a look on the cambridge audio site and it seems to suggest that as well as rca analogue outs, there
are optical and coaxial digital outs.  This being the case, do you know if the input signal is presented to all outputs simultaneously?

If it is, then I don't need to splitter - I can feed the optical out
to my surround amp with it's optical in, and the analogue out to the
multi room system.....

Also, again not clear, how many inputs on it?  I'm assuming just the <= BR> one.
