I know a guy who does pub refurbishments, and "acquired" a fridge from him
that the brewery didn't like cause it didn't have a light.  It sits in the
corner of my lounge and is SILENT.  It is my understanding that these type
of fridges are silent due to being designed for pubs where there are 4 or 5
of these behind the bar.  Could become V annoying if not!

These work on the Peltier Heat Pump principal and are always fitted with a
fan - one side of heat pump gets cool (the side inside the fridge), other
side of heat pump gets hot.  The cooler you can keep the "Hot" side, the
colder the "cold" side will be (as the text says - 20 C difference between
hot and cold sides) - hence the fan.

A friend has got a similar fridge running in the far corner of their lounge,
and it's a darn site noisier than a TiVo - more like having a PC running
      constantly...

      Good price, though.
