It seems like a total pup, I'm afraid.
You are charged per e-mail sent and received, and the ISP is hardcoded.

There was a lot of coverage of the "anti-emailer" campaigns on theregister.co.uk

I was looking at one to use as the bedroom phone, thinking web browser,
phone etc etc all in one, but the browser seems horribly restricted. I don'= t
think it has java support, or almost anything beyond basic HTML.

Ian.

Does anyone have Amstrad e-mailer plus? See www.amstrad.com.
I would like to buy it for my parents abroad, and I would like to know if I=
can use different ISP, not the default one. Is phone number it dials hard coded?
By default, it uses amserve as ISP, but I couldn't find how much they charg= e
for connection per minute. There's no subscription fee, but they send you comercials regularely. And they can do the software upgrade as well.
Also, I would like to know if it's possible to use my existing mailboxes, o= r
I need to switch to theirs.
This thing has a small browser with limited graphics capabilites, but it could be used as a remote control station e.g. to access your HA server fro= m
fixed remote location (e.g. holiday house). It's phone, fax and answering machine as well, so just that could be worth =A399.
Cheers,
Nik
