Subject: [ukha_d] X10 problems!! and footy free too

Hi All,

I have a problem with poor X10 reception.

I live in a moderatly sized detached bungalow with the Homeseer PC at one end up in the loft and the X10 units dotted around the house. The devices at the far end of the house often don't respond to commands. I also have an IR-X10 box at the far end of the house from the PC and this can control devices close by but the HA PC doesn't always see the commands in full. Homeseer shows in the log partial commands.

I have noticed an even greater loss of X10 commands since installing a Smart-UPS. The CM12U is located about 3-4 metres of cable length away from the UPS.

Is there a device out there that I can get to either prevent the UPS zapping the signals or to boost the X10 at the far end of the house. I need a solution fast as SWMBO is getting rather cheesed off with the lights not switching on at her command and I am rapidly loosing WAF on this one.

Regards
Dave...
