I think you will probably find that the resolution of a 7" TFT is about 960
x 240.

OK for Video usage but not much good for a PC.

A better bet if you really want to use a PC would be a normal 800x600 (or
higher) TFT and fit a TV capture card in the PC for TV viewing. OK, so its
not widescreen but it would display widescreen with bars top and bottom and
would be bigger ( and therefore more visible) than a 7" TFT.

where did u get the 7" TFT from - and will it be an easy (and economical)
install

add an IR keyboard and u can surf the web and control the HA PC from the
confort of a jacuzzi !!!!!!!
