My costs (inc VAT) so far for my VIA based firewall:
VIA MOBO ?100
PSU ?8
2U case ?35
CF->IDE ?22.50
32MB CF ?14
60mm fan ?10
I had some spares, but approximate prices for other bits below
64MB PC100 ?6
NIC ?5
The VIA runs a Cyrix C3-800 which sips power and runs with a tiny
fan. The
cheaper Eden5000 CPU runs fanless.
