RE: BT PhoneLine Question

You should get better customer service, but not better quality lines or
anything.
When I was ditching my Business Highway service in favour of a BT
Residential line + BlueYoda internet, BT Res wanted money off me to take
away the Highway box and replace it with a normal master socket.  BT
Business said that if I was downgrading to a normal Business line then they
could waive the tarrif because they had budgets for things like that,
whereas Res did not.
(I got it for free in the end by arguing that I never asked them to take
away the normal master socket in the first place - but that's not the
point).
Also, ISTR having a line fault investigated & rectified _very_ quickly as a
Bus customer, but as a Res one they're a bit less hurried......

HTH,

Tony
