I've implemented something similar using 80GB drives and

Running under linux gives 564GB.

Given the increase in drive sizes replace this with 120GB units and you
get 960GB .

Working on current drive prices thats =A32K plus whatever PC you'd like to
put it in.

I've got details for all the components required to put 33 ide drives
plus CD/DVD into a single case. Take this to the ATA100 physical limit
thats 4.5TB before an OS and filesystem.

I'm guessing price would be just under =A312K for this
