Re: Best DECT phones around?

The problem isn't with the phone not displaying CLID, but the PBX switch.
Most switches will not pass CLID thru to DECT phones, or any other analogue
phones. ISDN switches won't pass CLID to any analogue phone, since ISDN
CLID is different to analogue CLID. The only system I know of that will is
a Panasonic 3+12 which requires a small interface card which decodes the
CLID resends it in the correct format.
The system I'm currently considering is a totally new fully digital DECT,
but it's quite expensive - £1400 for the basestation, £1800 for the
ISDN/analogue PBX and £100 for each DECT handset. I'll have to see on
Friday if it's worth it.

Regards

Simon
