If the breakers an RCD one, then often the leakage from the crap
powersupplies in TVs will trip things when you join the chassis to
somethign
that is earthed.
Measure the current you get from the chassis of the TV (outside of the RF
plug or one of the RCA plugs for the AV in to earth and see how many mA it
is - if its getting near 5mA then it will easily trip most RCD's - even the
higher rated ones.
If this is the case and the TV is new, return it as its faulty ;)
