I know these things can be done professionally and can work well, it is just that PDAmotion is not a good example .

The eMpeg car audio units were similar though ... designed and built by three guys I used to work with and look what happened to that!

I got the impression they were a bit more established than that, but you may well be right.

Quality control & delivery issues aside, I was just citing them as an example of a cottage industry turning into something a bit bigger, but where the original designer has the best of both worlds.

 

I was going to get a PDA motion slider, but since seeing Georges SS5 with the built in case, I'm on the waiting list for one of these now!  My 3850 came with a case & I never take it off, so it would have been a step backwards really to go with the SS2 & have to swap between having CF & having the screen protected......

Either way, I don't have a slider yet either :(
