RE: KAT5 Website Updated

Title: Message
I got the impression they were a bit more established than that, but you may well be right.
Quality control & delivery issues aside, I was just citing them as an example of a cottage industry turning into something a bit bigger, but where the original designer has the best of both worlds.

I was going to get a PDA motion slider, but since seeing Georges SS5 with the built in case, I'm on the waiting list for one of these now!  My 3850 came with a case & I never take it off, so it would have been a step backwards really to go with the SS2 & have to swap between having CF & having the screen protected......
Either way, I don't have a slider yet either :(

Not sure PDAmotion is a good example.....

1. I (along with hundreds/thousands of people) have been waiting for a sliver slider since late Nov/early Dec

2. I believe they are a start up not an established company (more like a group of us getting together to manufacture and market kat5)

3. Their quality control/suppliers/importing seems to be in a right mess!

That apart it is really Keith's call how he decides to develop and market his product. I just wish him every sucess with it(and let me know the name of any company that buys it as I want some shares in it ;)

Exactly why I said in my last message it may be better to get "into bed" with a manufacturer now.

Maybe PDA motion went to George because a) he was there first with a slimmed down, nicer looking CF sleeve, b) he had already gained a bit of a following on the web, so there's a 'starter' market there already, c) George would endorse the produce, therefore legitimising it to his loyal fans, and d) It was probably a lot less hassle than taking a chance that George would sue them - even if he didn't have the resources to see it through.....

See any similarities between this situation & Kat5?
