Agreed ... I hate wall
warts
too and I've mentioned this to Keith before ... however the issue of CE
certification then comes into play here. Legally you shouldn't sell
non-CE
approved devices for use within the EU and CE approval
comes expensive
especially at this stage when development is still being done. Selling the
KAT5
with an external power supply just makes it all easier for Keith and it
means
that I can power multiple KAT5 units that are behind my AV rack from
one
wart!

Again ... I have discussed
this
with Keith before about making single and double wall box sized versions
and
it's just a case of making up appropriately sized PCBs (at an additional
development cost).
