Hi all

my PC developed a novel bug over the weekend,

When I try and dial up using a modem to the internet, the Modem dials, and
then once the handshaking has gone on it disconnects, within about 10
seconds of dialling the number :-)

It was all working fine, and the modem works fine if I connect to my ISP
using HyperTerminal.

Has anyone ever come across this before?

It appears to be a bug in Dial up networking?

This is using an external modem.

Cheers

Daniel
