Title: Message
A m8 of mine had Business Highway installed in his office because ADSL was not available.  A few months later, ADSL became available & he went back to them and argued that if he'd known ADSL was on it's way, he would have waited.
They agreed to waive the remainder of the BH contract.

Two things though:
1. Business BT are a lot more helpful than Private BT - they have budgets to give sweetners to customers.
2. My m8 went with BT ADSL, which no doubt influenced their decision to waive the Highway charges.

You _might_ be lucky if you say to BT you'll go with their ADSL _if_ they waive the Highway contract, otherwise you'll bugger off to a cable co for phone and broadband, so BT end up with nothing......
Other than that, unless you try to angle it that your problems mean they are breaching their contract to supply the service, then I'm afraid you're probably buggered.....

HTH,

Tony

Hi,

Got a few problems with BT at the moment, i'm sure someone has similar
issues and i'm after some advice.

On the 30 Dec 2001 BT installed HomeHighway, consquently they then
launched ADSL Wires Only.  I want to get ADSL Wires only, because
homehighway has just been installed they want 12 months worth of line
rental to convert it back to an analogue line (works out to be about
250quid!).

Does anybody know of a way to get out of the contract, I do have a few
issues with the speed of the line and it disconnecting.

Kind Regards,
Chris Bond
