I've definately seen X10 command line utilities, but as you say, you
probably need to do it through Homeseer to use the serial port. There are a
couple of options that occur to me:

Cannot the HS.EXE itself take command line arguments, so that it can be
used
in precisely this way?

VB script can open a COM session with Homeseer, so instead of a command
line
tool, run a script under WSH...
