Dave,

I use Highway, and swear by it. I've had it installed for well over a
year, as I wasn't in an ADSL area at the time.

I've found it very reliable. I was using a Linux box with a PCI TA as a
firewall, and then the other PCs in the house accessing the Internet
over the LAN.

Subjectively, it felt much better than a modem, but I tend to use it for
surfing, rather than downloads. (I have a 2Mb/sec line at work, so big
downloads come in over than onto the laptop, and then the laptop goes
home onto the LAN.)

Regards,

Mark Harrison

Hi All,

Sorry for another off topic post but it will be used for my HA system
too
:o)

Is BT's home highway worth me getting installed?

I am well outwith any ADSL catchment area being about 25 miles NW of
Aberdeen and the only other solution is a broadband satellite setup and
this
is too expensive for installation.

I am looking at the USB connection with Windows XP Pro. Is this just as
quick as using an ISDN TA?

Regards
Dave...
