S.
Fujitsu Tablet description from another guy
selling
them on Ebay. He describes his units as
'excellent':
<snip> This unit was previously used in a
KIOSK
application, this means that (Good news first) the battery was never
used,
and as such is in great condition, expect 3+hours of operation, but I
can't
warranty anything about the battery. The 2 units from this lot
that I
put through their paces, I had to discharge the battery a few times
before
it's "Smart" lithium ion battery actually knew how long it really had
left.
After I did this, they consistently gave me 3 hours of operation, with
little
power saving features enabled. (And now the bad news) The screen has
repetitive finger press scuffing. For most of these units, the
scuffs
disappear when the screen is turned on, but you can clearly see the
scuffing
on the screen with the unit off. After the unit's powered on, it's
really a non-issue though. The pictures show this pretty
well.
These units also have a security badge glued to the back of them, and if
you
pry off the badge, it says "STOLEN PROPERTY" in red with a phone number
to
call. Blah, I hate the idiots who devised this scheme, I wish they'd
have
thought about a way to retire units for resale when they put on that
security
badge. These units are totally legal though, you can call the 800 number
on
the badge and it will verify that they are not reported stolen. The
cases on
these units are in otherwise great shape, with at the most some light
scuffing on the corners, but all port covers and flipups are in place
and
working. There may be some small light scratches on the screens,
basically
normal use patterns.
WARNING: Many unscrupulous dealers on eBay are
selling machines from the same lot as mine (i.e. With the same defects)
and
not saying in their ads that the Machine has a scuffed screen, not
showing
you the actual photograph of the machine you're buying, so you have no
way to
tell. Most of these same dealers are unable to acquire pens for their
points,
so they're selling them without pens and not telling
you! <snip>
I'll be voting for
excellent.
Justin.

We have 2 choices - do we have the cheaper models from

(at $around $80) or the better quality (so they say, in "excellent" >
