As an after thought, you won't get instant on anyway with a CEPC as it
still
needs to boot into DOS and then load the CE kernel into RAM before it runs.
Devices like the iPaq don't actually switch off, they only go to sleep and
keep the RAM alive so that it appears like instant on. It still boots
quicker than a CEPC if you do a hard reset but that is due to the boot PROM
not needing to execute DOS etc.

On my 586 133Mhz CE device is take approx 20-30 seconds to boot from switch
ON.
