For those who missed out on Kevins Bulk purchase

Kevin went out of his way today so I could play with this brilliant bit of kit over the weekend

I must say they are more than expected

I've set one up with ACE Client and I'm having loads of fun

Yes the epod works and is portable

But these units are something else

Thanks for all you efforts Kevin

Mike

Just a last call on the below units - if anyone else wants one let me know  NOW  (off list)  as I am going to finalise the order on Thursday morning. The cost looks like being £460 + £15 delivery by PF48. All those that have contacted me will get an email shortly asking them to confirm their requirements.Delivery about 10 days I guess.

PS Missing from the below spec was the included 4.8GB hard disk.

Anyone interested in one of these ? - I can get hold of some ( refurbished ) units that I am told are in fairly good condition. Let me know off list  if you are - the cost is circa £450 - 500 delivered dependent on interest. VAT invoice maybe available.

    Summary spec: -

    233Mhz Pentium MMX

32MB Ram expandable to 128MB (SDRAM)

15" LCD TFT resistive touchscreen upto 1024x768 256K colours

    2xUSB, 4x serial (3 x RS232 1 x RS422), 1 x Parallel, 1xPCMCIA, 1xPCI/ISA half size slot

    1x floppy, 1x 24speed CDROM (I think)

    1 x 10/100MB ethernet, 1 x PS2 , Audio line IN/OUT, Mic in and game port

NO OS included but runs W98SE and maybe others inc DOS

Seems it might make a good HA control PC but is a little on the large side - again I would be just putting a bulk purchase together I am not providing support or warranty but the units are UK sourced.
