Does anyone know if it is possible using two DV Camcorders to copy from one tape to another ?? Would I just need a DV - DV cable, press play on one and record on the other ????

I bought my DV cam in the UK (Sony DCR-TRV30) and DV in is enabled despite a _very_ low price on the unit.

My Camera came with the DV IN disabled - I was (as you say) able to activate it with software from the Net.

The Digital8 camera my mate brought back from the States last week has DV IN ENABLED on it despite someone posting here it wouldn't.  I presume the UK version is knobbled though.

Thanks

M.
