I think you've misunderstood how these work - though I
might
have remembered this wrong myself!
They always send on channel x and x+1 (X=1 being
dusk/dawn). {Proviso - if you have taken the thing apart and disabled
the
sensor with either wire snips or by taping over it this doesn't
apply}!
The 24
hour thing I think stops the unit sending light on/off commands (i.e. on
channel
X) UNLESS it has sensed darkness (channel X+1). If you've set
this,
then you shouldn't be getting motion detection during
daylight.
