Title: Message
Given that when I finally got someone from HP to talk to me yesterday and went through the fault with them they came nowhere close to giving me a solution then I don't hold out too much hope of getting any help from them in any other way. Basically the unit is out of warranty (which I do completely understand) and so they aren't interested in helping (which I don't).

Given the information from Dr John and Luc I've effected what I consider a "temporary" repair and using the old cartridge I've had it do a self test sucessfully and a couple of prints ... all I now need to do is take back the two full carts and try to exchange them as faulty as they have had their "chips" written to and now log to the printer as empty!

I have also had an offer of help from Mike Huggins (of Lets Automate) who has given me a phone number for someone that works for him who will try to locate me a replacement part...

I tried when mine went up the spout, and got no where, despite the fact I am a reseller of HP !!

I only got the 2200 after I received a assurance that the design fault in the 2000C had been corrected, fortunately for me I did not have many spare cart's

Have you tried having a go at HP?
