Re: Re: Single Board Computer

With regards to the Shuttle system, just found this review, using a C3
processor

http://accelenation.com/?doc=97&page=1

To quote the final paragraph of the review

" The VIA C3 processor might not be the most powerful processor
available on the market but at 933 MHz, it is plenty fast for DVDs, MP3s
and office application use. Thanks to its low heat and power
dissipation, it requires no fan for operation, ideal for uses everywhere
in the house without people complaining about noise. It is expected to
arrive in near the end of this month with a very affordable price of $55
USD. I'm looking forward to VIA Centaur's upcoming processor designs,
hopefully they will be able to increase performance while maitaining
VIA's tradition of cool processing."

So with the HDD gone and the fan on the CPU gone, I'm guessing it's
going to be mighty quiet.

Cheers

Stuart
