be 10log4=6db.

bill: nothing will effect the cable bandwidth, thats either 6Mhz or 8 Mhz
depending on the cable modem types being used. 8 mhz is a TV channel
bandwidth. Reducing the incoming signal too much will just stop the modem
working correctly.
