I finally found a 4-way F splitter in maplin..

Does anyone know if there will be any problems splitting the NTL incoming signal (I use it for broadband internet) and running a cable modem and a STB from this.

Both STB and modem use a 10db attenuator before being plugged in - I propose to remove these since the drop across the splitter should be more than 10db.

More importantly, does anyone know what will happen to the cable modem bandwidth if the signal strength is reduced too much (i.e. too much drop across splitter)?
