I can't hear my 1Gb Microdrive over the noise from my Sony VAIO, but when
used in an iPAQ there is a very small amount of noise - but then again I am
holding it in my hand so it is quite close.

All in all though a great piece of kit - couldn't watch Queen's greated
flix
on my iPAQ without it :)
