Of course you wouldn't accept - just as you didn't accept Kodak's offer -
but would you go to the trading standards about the duff washer?

I do admire your conviction on this topic - to stand up & take no shit,
but
where does it end? over the past few months many of us have had problems
with BT, NTL etc and what has happened as a result of us attempting to
complain? - bugger all if my memory is correct.

Call me soft but it seems to be easier timewise & blood pressure wise
to
just accept rip-off Britain. Perhaps that is the problem, too many people
sitting on their arses accepting stuff. Would the French be so submissive?
