Mark,

(we seem to be talking to each other a lot ;) ) What I'd like is some
(non-X10) RF PIRs that talk to a base station which would then close a
contact (one for each RF PIR) on the base station that would be
connected to HV.

This would give a couple of advantages...

Although I have a fairly HA compliant SWMBO she will not tollerate me
putting visible wires about the place, and our walls have some wierd
spray chalky stuff on them which means I can't dig channels and then
replaster. RF gets around this, and if the PIRs are any good will give
a better response than X10 verisons. The base station could also be
placed next to HV...
