RE: CCF for DDAR?

John,

As you probably know I am new to this whole pronto thing only having owned
it for a six days but did you try using the ccf optimiser in the ccfutils
package? my current ccf prior to optimising was about 125k and optimising
took me down to 75k. Thats a far memory saving. Admitedly I also have the
2mb version but it is my one concern that ill run out of space before too
long. The secret I think is to make use of the keypad IR codes to search
using letters. Did anyone else note on the ddar that if you wanted albums
say that started with b that a double hit of the "abc" still only
took you
to those beginning with a?

Hope this helps
kieran

I did this some time ago but using delphi, to load up the pronto, in my
case I was using winamp on a server, it worked fine, made nice screens,
But... I could only fit about 200 albums into the pronto before I ran
out of space ;-(

As my collection grew I gave up, perhaps I should upgrade to a bigger
Pronto mine was just a 1MB. It's a shame there is not good server side
support, it would be realy smart if I could write a webserver for it and
select using either a epod or iPaq
