A guy who works for me was called up for jury service in November. For the
first week and a half he spent most of his time sitting around not being
called in, except for one case lasting half a day. Just as he thought he'd
be able to get out of it, he was called in for a murder trial (some young
girl in Tamworth - don't remember the details, though it was reported in
Central News). In total he was there for nearly four weeks.
