Dont know about you Phil, but I would be *sooooo* tempted to take it back,
explain what has happened, nad ask them if it's any way to treat their
customers?

I found the managers in Scottish Power (before it became powerhouse) to be
*really* open to "common sense" arguments, one of the few
retailers I would
ever grace with cash again.

I would not touch comet by now after my many negative experiences, but
these
guys have been not left me with an urgent desire to wash in bleach....

Ian.

Just bought a TiVo from PowerHouse today ... Box was damaged but I was
assured by PowerHouse that the unit was brand new and unused.

I have just called TiVo to register the unit and have been told that the
unit was registered on the 23rd June (and hence the warranty began at
that point) - I also lose the 1 month trial subscription too.

I believe that what PowerHouse have just done (selling previously owned
goods as new no matter what the price) is illegal...

Bastards!

Phil
