Has anyone got any combinations of ACE, Homevision and Homeseer talking to each other over a network ? (all on different machines) ?

Just about to embark on something and any pointers here would be much appreciated. I assume DCOM is the way but it's new to me. My current solution was a real kludge - linked the machines together with a serial port and sent commands to each other but I need to go wider area now.

Now for probably a really stupid question - is DCOM a routable solution ? - could I link the two applications together over an internet connection ? I guess I could do this via ASP but it doesn't seem to me to have the 'grip' that a direct link could have.
