Not true! From HV an X10 command can be reached via an IR signal in well
under a second.

For example, my AV kit shut down routine.

Pronto sends a signal to HV for the entire routine so;

AV room lights come on
Projector soft powers down (Pronto)
Hallway lamp comes on
Kitchen lights come on
Outside light comes on
Foyer light comes on
Lounge lighting returned to normal levels or on if applicable
Amp either switches to audio source (CD) or if after a certain time:
AV Shutdown: Amp off, subwoofer off, DVD off, Laserdisc off all X10

Whole process takes *way* less than fifteen seconds, probably less than
ten I've never bothered to time it.
